Challenge
Learncity, an emerging edtech company, needed a robust, scalable platform to deliver online courses to a growing user base. The existing infrastructure couldn't handle concurrent users during peak hours, leading to poor learning experiences and course abandonment. They needed a complete overhaul of both frontend and backend systems.
Our Contribution
Our team was brought in to architect and build a complete end-to-end solution. We were responsible for designing a scalable microservices architecture, developing responsive frontend components, implementing secure authentication, and setting up cloud infrastructure that could auto-scale during high-traffic periods like course launches.
Scope of Work
- Built responsive UI components with React and NextJS for optimal SEO and performance
- Implemented server-side rendering for course content to improve load times
- Created reusable component library with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui
- Integrated video streaming with adaptive bitrate for different connection speeds
Solution
We delivered a modern, scalable edtech platform that handles thousands of concurrent users seamlessly. The platform features a clean, intuitive interface for students and a powerful admin dashboard for course creators. With auto-scaling infrastructure, the platform maintains fast load times even during peak usage. We implemented a hybrid rendering strategy—SSR for course content and static generation for marketing pages—optimizing both SEO and performance.
Impact
The new platform transformed Learncity's ability to serve students reliably. Course completion rates improved significantly, and the platform now handles 10x traffic without degradation.
